Serbia have claimed its 1st title at FIVB Volleyball World League after overwhelming giant Brazil in straight sets in the Polish City of Krakow.
The Serbians began the opening set showing off some tremendous defense and high-flying offence to claim the tight set 25-22.
The Serbs maintained the advantage they had built to take the 2nd set with the same result.
Having had 2 sets in the bag, Serbia faced an easier task to take the 3rd set 25-21, outclassing the Brazilians in all sections, to wrap-up the match with an emphatic 3 sets to nothing victory.
The Serbians were helped by Marko Ivovic, who displayed another major hit, scoring 16 points for his side.
Meanwhile, defending champions France have won their 1st ever bronze medal at the competition after posting an impressive straight sets victory over Italy.
Both sides began the game cautiously, exchanging points while trying to work each other out, but the French edged in-front to secure the 1st set 25-23.
The French players managed to maintain their supremacy, taking the 2nd and 3rd sets 25-21, 25-20, trouncing the Italians 3-nothing, to pocket the bronze medal.
Antonin Rouzier had 14 points for the winners, showcasing his brilliant skills, while on the Italian side Ivan Zaytsev scored 8 points, demonstrating a relatively efficient performance.
