NASA's New Horizons space probe has discovered a mysterious space object beyond Pluto.

US space agency NASA has caught on camera an image of a mysterious space object beyond Pluto.

NASA's New Horizons space probe captured shots of a rock billed “1994 JR1” from a distance of 69 million miles. The strange object orbits more than 5 billion kilometers from the Sun.

The rock is located in the Kuiper Belt, a region beyond the orbit of Neptune, which contains numerous icy comets, asteroids, and other small bodies. The newly-discovered body rotates almost once every five hours.
