Zenzele Chulu has made it his mission to save the ancient rock art found in several parts of his country.

Zambia is well known for its wildlife and adventure sports. But for this artist it's the country's rocks that are most inspiring.

Zenzele Chulu is one of the most famous painters in Zambia. He has made it his mission to save the ancient rock art found in several parts of his country. To do so, he has started including rock art symbols in his own paintings and the results are mesmerizing.

Chulu has exhibited his works across Africa, Europe and the US. For him, these exhibitions are an opportunity to voice concern about issues of vandalism and graffiti at rock art sites.
