Uganda opposition wins municipality vote

Ugandan police have detained Kiiza Besigye opposition candidate days ahead of the presidential election in the east African country.

Uganda’s opposition has won the controversial Kampala municipality vote. The victory comes as main opposition leader, Kizza Besigye, remains under police detention following a disputed presidential election.
