Pause in Syria talks

Syria talks

The Syria peace talks failed in even getting off the ground. The Saudi-backed opposition walked out of the talks due to Russia and Syrian army advances, forcing the UN envoy for Syria Staffan De Mistura to announce a pause until late February.

US military budget

Standing at almost 600 billion dollars, the US military budget was announced with a special focus on Russia and China, US Secretary of Defense Ash Carter said. This as the US is either covertly or directly involved in more than 100 wars.

US plans another Libya war?

There are numerous reports that indicate the US is thinking about military action on Libya, if there is a threat to the US mainland. Somalia and Libya have warned that the threat of Daesh to Europe and the US is real.
