A political analyst believes that voting for US Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton would set the stage for WW III.
Chicago-based author and radio host Stephen Lendman made the comments in an interview Press TV on Friday, when asked about Clinton’s inroads into primary rival Bernie Sanders’s lead in New Hampshire.
According to a UMass Lowell/7 News tracking poll released on Friday, Clinton picked up 7 net points overnight, trailing Sanders by only 15 points before Tuesday’s primary in the traditionally blue state.
On Thursday, Clinton and Sanders clashed over a range of issues as they appeared in their first one-on-one Democratic primary debate.
Lendman said that there is no difference between Democratic and Republican presidential candidates in the US, as both parties seek to forward Washington’s agenda.
“Everything in America electorally is controlled by money,” he said. “Most people do not start to realize that America is a one body state with two wings, there is virtually no difference between Republicans and Democrats.”
Both parties, Lendman explained, follow such objectives as “endless wars of aggression for unchallenged global dominance, eliminating all independent states [and] replacing them with puppet regimes that Washington controls, and Washington favoritism.”
The analyst argued that all current presidential candidates are basically “cut out of the same dirty cloth” and the only way to judge them is their record.
Lendman dismissed Sanders’ socialist claims as “rubbish,” saying the Vermont senator votes in favor of the Democratic Party in Congress.
He also pointed to Clinton’s past, arguing that the former Secretary of State’s role in Syria and Libya conflicts reveals her true colors.
“A vote for Hillary Clinton is a vote for possible WW III,” he opined.
