British Prime Minister David Cameron speaks at a press conference in London.

Here is a round-up of global news developments:

  • Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has demanded an immediate ceasefire in Syria but says that should exclude anti-terror operations. Zarif made the comment in a donors conference in London. He added that Tehran has provided 2-point-8 billion dollars in aid to Syrian people since 2011.
  • British Prime Minister David Cameron says over ten-billion dollars have been raised to tackle the Syrian crisis. The donations were made during a one-day conference in London. The amount is equal to the United Nations’ budget estimations required to deal with the aftermath of the Syria crisis this year.
  • The Syrian army has entered Nubl and Zahra a day after breaking a three-year militant siege of the Shia towns in Aleppo province. The army says it's in complete control of the towns and has cut militant supply lines into the nearby Aleppo city. The Syrian foreign ministry has hailed the success.
  • The Russian Defense Ministry spokesman says Moscow has serious grounds to suspect Turkey is planning a military incursion in Syria. Igor Kona-shenkov said Russia has registered a growing number of Turkish military preparations near the Syrian border. Moscow also rejected Ankara’s allegation that a Russian plane violated the Turkish airspace.
  • Fresh clashes erupt between Palestinian protesters and Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank. Scuffles broke out after Israeli forces blockaded the village of Qabatiyah. Several Palestinians were injured. Israel says the village is home to three Palestinians accused of carrying out attacks against Israeli police officers in Jerusalem al-Quds on Wednesday.
  • The United Nations has warned that years of Israeli blockade on the Gaza Strip have set the coastal enclave on a disastrous trajectory. UN Humanitarian Coordinator for the Palestinian Territories, Robert Piper, made the comment after visiting Gaza. He said the blockade has particularly hit the reconstruction process in the besieged area.
  • A court in Israel has handed down long prison terms to two Israelis convicted of killing a Palestinian teenager. The case is about the brutal murder of Mohammed Abu Khudair back in 2014. He was kidnapped, beaten, and burned alive by three Israelis in a forest near Jerusalem al-Quds.
  • The UN peacekeeping mission for the Central African Republic says it has identified seven new cases of sexual abuse by its troops. The new cases include at least five minors and also women who are said to have been raped. The UN mission in the car faces more than 20 such allegations.
