Israeli troops shoot dead a Palestinian in northern occupied West Bank after he allegedly rams his car into a military checkpoint.
The incident took place near Huwara south of Nablus on Thursday, leaving a soldier injured, a military statement said.
"The assailant was shot by forces on site, resulting in his death," the statement said.
On Wednesday, Israeli forces killed another Palestinian in al-Khalil (Hebron) in southern West Bank after he allegedly tried to stab them.
Israeli forces have killed more than 140 Palestinians under ambivalent circumstances since early October.
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs has voiced concern over “extrajudicial killing” of Palestinians by Israeli forces.
The body says the circumstances surrounding a number of Palestinian deaths remain disputed.
“Cases of excessive use of force by Israeli forces against Palestinians, including some which appear to amount to summary executions, continue to be reported," two UN officials said last month.
