Military experts believe that a large number of Daesh terrorists have fled Syria in the wake of the Russian military campaign. Many of them have arrived in Libya, a country plagued by unrest since NATO’s toppling of Muammar Gaddafi in 2011. According to Tunisian military analysts, Daesh is now controlling large swathes of territory in Libya in an attempt to control oil fields on behalf of Western powers.
