Polish stage director Marcin Herich is set to present a street theater dubbed ‘Faust’ in the Iranian capital, Tehran.
Produced by Teatr A Part theater company, the play will be performed outside the city’s Vahdat Hall on December 14 and 15, 2015.
Herich’s ‘Faust’ is an adaptation of a tragic play of the same name by German playwright Johann Wolfgang Goethe and ‘The Tragical History of the Life and Death of Doctor Faustus’ written by English author Christopher Marlowe.
The hour-long open-air play has been performed in Poland, Germany and Denmark so far and features eleven polish stage actors, including James Qaboos, Maciej Dziaczko, Cezary Kruszyna and Dariusz Piotrowski.
Herich’s ‘Faust’ pictures the duality of human nature, his physical and spiritual needs, and his view on death.
