Iranian Paralympian swimmer Shahin Izadyar has displayed impressive performances at the Winter Open Polish Championships in Swimming for Athletes with Disabilities, and picked up three medals, among them one silver.
On Sunday, Izadyar competed in the men’s 50-meter freestyle stroke with a total of 93 contestants in attendance, and clocked 25.96 to stand on the bronze podium.
Later in the day, the Iranian Paralympian participated in the men’s 100-meter breaststroke competitions, attended by 49 swimmers. He finished with a time of 12.43 to land in the third spot and clinched the bronze medal.
Izadyar also vied for a medal in the men’s 50-meter team freestyle contests, and received a silver medal.
Additionally, he improved Iran’s record at the men’s 100-meter backstroke by 2.06 seconds.
The Winter Open Polish Championships in Swimming for Athletes with Disabilities opened in Poland on December 4, and will conclude on December 6, 2015. Dozens of Paralympian swimmers from 30 different countries have taken part in the sporting event.
