As British lawmakers were discussing military action in Syria, demonstrators outside the parliament voiced strong opposition to any airstrikes on the country.
The protesters later staged a die-in, insisting that bombing Syria would be counter-productive. Organizers say the die-in symbolizes the expected deaths that will result from Britain’s air raids. The protest was called online by activist group Stop the War Coalition.British lawmakers have approved the government’s motion to join the US-led campaign against Daesh in Syria.
