Press TV has conducted an interview with Jalal Fairooz, a Middle East expert from London, to ask for his insight into remarks by some British diplomats that the UK could face prosecution for selling missiles to Saudi Arabia.

The following is a rough transcription of the interview.

Press TV: Tony Blair and George W. Bush haven't been tried as war criminals despite the evidence that they plotted the illegal invasion of Iraq. Can we hold our breath this time around and see the UK being prosecuted for war crimes?

Fairooz: Well, now there are crucial evidences raised by very figureable NGOs like Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch that the GM-500 missiles, which were sold by UK to Saudis have hurt the food factory, which killed civilians and that was a war crime actually.

That will pull the leg of UK, because it has participated in this war crime. Last July UK has granted Saudis the same of the pave way for missile, which are very destroying.

And the Saudis if they get that also they will use it even though Phillip Hammond has denied any use of ... or at least he denied any evidence that there has been use of the sold UK weapon against civilians.

But all the evidence would be against that statement, because you could see all the weapons being used against the civilians are being supplied by the US and UK.

As the UNICEF has put in everyday around 10 children are being killed by UK and US weapons used by the Saudis.

So, that should be a crucial evidence against them to take them probably to the international criminal court.
