Low turnout again mars Egypt parliamentary elections

A low voter turnout has plagued the second round of Egypt’s parliamentary elections just like the first round. The voting came against a backdrop of growing economic and security concerns as well as voter fatigue as it was the eighth time Egyptians went to the polls since the 2011 revolution.
