Belgium's government says that Brussels will stay on the highest security threat level for at least another week over fears of an imminent terrorist attack.
Prime Minister Charles Michel has warned that the threat of a terror attack in the capital city is still serious. Brussels has been under an unprecedented security lockdown for the past three days. The high alert status was prompted by a series of coordinated attacks in Paris that left at least 130 people dead. An international manhunt is underway for the Belgian-born key suspect. On Monday, Belgian authorities arrested 16 people in this connection. They later charged one of them with involvement in the attacks and released the rest.
