Another Palestinian has been killed by Israeli forces in a fresh round of violence in the occupied city of al-Quds (Jerusalem).
In a statement on Monday, the Israeli military said that its forces had shot two Palestinian women in a marketplace in the occupied city, killing one and injuring the other.
The statement said the incident happened on Jaffa Street. It said the women reportedly attacked Israelis with scissors.
More than 90 Palestinians have been killed over the past weeks as protests continue across the occupied territories over increasing attacks by the Israeli settlers and a plan by the Tel Aviv regime to change the status quo of the al-Aqsa Mosque compound, a highly revered site for the Muslims across the world.
The latest spate of Israeli violence against Palestinians began in Quds but later expanded into the occupied West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
Israelis said late on Sunday they had shot dead a Palestinian man in a similar case near the illegal Israeli settlement bloc of Gush Etzion, north of Bethlehem. Palestine’s Ma'an agency said the 34-year-old Issa Thawabta was shot at the scene when he attacked an Israeli settler in the area.
