‘Time to love’ by Iranian filmmaker Alireza Raisian is set to hit Canadian screens in December 2015.
The feature-length production will be screened at Vancouver’s Centennial Theatre on December 13. The audience will then get the chance to discuss the film with its crew via Skype.
‘Time to love’ depicts the complexities of a couple’s relationship caused by the unwanted pregnancy of the wife.
The film received the Cristal Simorgh award for Best Screenplay at Iran's 33rd Fajr International Film Festival. It also won the event’s Best Actor prize for its lead actor Shahab Hosseini.
Raisian’s 2014 production is believed by some to be the most popular non-comic film after the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
It has also been screened in numerous European countries, including the UK, Germany and Sweden.
Born in 1955, Alireza Raisian is an acclaimed Iranian film director, producer and screenwriter whose films have won numerous prestigious awards.
‘The Deserted Station,’ ‘Reyhaneh’ and ‘The Journey’ are among Raisian’s better-known works.
