Syrian army, opposition forces close to 15-day ceasefire.

1. The UN special envoy to Yemen has told Press TV that the warring sides in Yemen have shown strong willingness to discuss ending the violence in the country.

2. Opposition sources say a local 15-day ceasefire between foreign-backed militants fighting in Syria and the army in the Ghouta area is being negotiated.

3. Lebanon’s security forces make an arrest in connection with the twin bomb attacks that killed more than 40 people in Beirut last week.
