Cinematic productions from 25 countries will take part in the 9th edition of the Iranian international festival for documentary films, Cinéma Vérité.
Nearly 30 short, medium-length and full-length documentaries will compete in three categories of the event’s international competition section.
‘Tyndall’ by Fatima Bianchi (Italy), ‘End of the World’ by Monika Pawluczuk (Poland), ‘Giani’ by Francesco Dongiovanni (Italy), ‘I Am Belfast’ by Mark Cousins (UK) and ‘Kabul Cinema’ by Louis Meunier (Afghanistan, France) are among the films that will compete in this year’s festival.
Iran’s annual Cinéma Vérité Film Festival screens a wide range of Iranian and international productions, such as political, historical, ritualistic, religious, social, environmental, scientific, ethnological and war documentaries.
The event will also host a number of workshops by a group of world-renowned film experts and documentary filmmakers.
Organized by Iran’s Documentary and Experimental Film Center (DEFC), the 2015 edition of the festival will run from December 13 to 19 in Sepideh and Felestin cinema theaters in the Iranian capital Tehran.
