Iraqi Kurdish forces have launched an all out offensive to liberate the pre-dominantly Izadi district of Sinjar in the north, adjacent to Syria’s Raqqah province. The region is of much significance, because it connects ISIL bastions in Syria and Iraq. Sinjar first came into the limelight in August 2014 when the Takfiri terrorists attacked the region, killing and forcing into slavery thousands of the Izadi minority. Our correspondent Altaf Ahmad has this report.
