Portrayal of Muslims in the media

The media occupies an important role in society. Representations of Muslims and Islam in the media have been of considerable debate and discussion.

Islam has constantly been portrayed in the global media as a religion that is diametrically opposed to the West.  And the portrayal of Muslims has been largely negative.

This week we are asking how can Muslims work with the media to improve their image?
