A new study in the US shows dark chocolate and red grapes can slow the progression of Alzheimer's disease.
Researchers at Georgetown University have found a new anti-oxidant in dark chocolate and red grapes that stabilizes an important bio-marker of Alzheimer's. They say the level of an abnormal protein, which is the main cause of the disease, became stabilized in patients who consumed two grams of the anti-oxidant every day. Based on 2015 figures by the World Health Organization, nearly 44 million people around the world suffer from Alzheimer’s disease.
