A large bomb explosion in Thailand’s capital Bangkok leaves at least ten people dead and more than 20 injured.
Police say the bomb went off outside a popular religious shrine, which is a tourist center in Bangkok’s Chidlom district. The explosion site has been the center of political demonstrations in recent years. The last bombing in Bangkok occurred in a shopping mall in February and was reportedly related to political tensions following a regime change. The Thai royal army took power last May and imposed a martial law across the country. The martial law was later lifted in April.
