A large number of protesters loyal to Lebanon’s Free Patriotic Movement have held a rally in Beirut to show their frustration at a political stalemate in the country. The party, which represents Lebanon’s Christian community, is angry over a failure to elect a new president. Based on Lebanon’s Constitution, the country’s president must be a Christian.
