The Israeli regime has decided to prevent hundreds of Palestinians living in the occupied West Bank from visiting relatives in the blockaded Gaza Strip.
The Israeli agency in charge of managing civilian affairs in the occupied Palestinian territories made the announcement on Wednesday.
The move came after at least four Israelis suffered injuries in a drive-by shooting near the settlement of Shvut Rachel, north of Ramallah city, on Monday night.
This is while Israeli forces and settlers regularly engage in violence against Palestinians in the occupied territories.
Israeli soldiers shot and killed a Palestinian teenager on June 21 in the Ras al-Amud neighborhood of East al-Quds (Jerusalem). Video footage released after the incident showed the boy was shot by the Israeli forces despite posing no danger to them.
A day earlier, another Palestinian teenager was wounded by Israeli forces during clashes in the city of al-Bireh, north of al-Quds.
On June 24, Tel Aviv said it planned to revoke permits of as many as 500 Gazan worshipers to visit East al-Quds because of alleged rocket fire from the Palestinian enclave.
Israel had previously revoked the permits of several hundred Palestinian worshipers from the occupied West Bank, who had intended to participate in Friday Prayers.
Israel had previously eased some restrictions on the movement of Palestinians from the West Bank to al-Quds for the holy fasting month of Ramadan.
