An American man who had been jailed for three years without trial has killed himself at his New York home. 22-year-old Kalief Browder had been held in solitary confinement and subject to abuse by prison guards. He committed suicide two years after release from one of America's most notorious prisons. Press TV’s New York correspondent has filed this report. She says officials in New York are now considering reform plans aimed at ending abuses that have long characterized the state’s Rikers Island prison.
