Iranian snatches Climbing Escalade Canada gold

Farnaz Esmaeilzadeh has handed Iran the gold medal of women’s competitions of Climbing Escalade Canada National Sport Climbing Championships in Victoria. 

The Iranian climber stole the show as she clocked 9.15 seconds at Victoria’s Boulders Climbing Gym at Stelly’s Secondary School.

In addition to the host Canada, the event drew athletes from the United States, Russia, China, Iran, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Poland and Italy.

Esmaeilzadeh has already snatched silver medal in speed climbing in Sport Climbing Association of British Columbia (SCBC) Provincial Championships in Canada’s Boulders Climbing Gym.
