Iran has roared past Lebanon in the AFC Beach Soccer Championship to secure a place in the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Portugal 2015.
The Saturday clash in Doha saw Mohammad Ahmadzadeh netting four of his 10-piece side’s eight scores against the mere three goals by the opponents, who were being coached by Iranian Karim Moghadam.
Also scoring for the white jerseys were Mohammad Moradi, Mohammad Ali Mokhtari, and Ali Naderi.
Iran and Lebanon had respectively lost to Japan and Oman both 5-4, thus forgoing the final.
Hence, champion Oman, runner-up Japan, and Iran will represent Asia at the World Cup, scheduled to be held in Espinho, Portugal from July 9 to 19.
