Movement members in Russia have staged a protest against human rights violations by the US government following the Russian pilot Konstantin Yaroshenko’s imprisonment and his torture in an American jail. Less than 40 people participated in the rally which was held in front of the US Embassy in Moscow.

The operation against Yaroshenko was conducted in Liberia, where he was arrested and contrary to the principles of humanity and international conventions, he was tortured. Evidence, proving the innocence of the pilot, was collected earlier and for several years, Russian authorities have required his extradition. US Drug Enforcement Administration agents acting undercover allegedly caught the pilot saying he intended to transport large quantities of cocaine.

It is not the first time the US secret services seize Russian citizens on the territory of other countries and secretly take them to the United States. Russian businessman Viktor But and the son of a State Duma deputy Roman Seleznev are among them.

The protesters demand to terminate sponsoring of skirmishes in Ukraine which still continue, pointing out that the Minsk Agreement is poorly enforced by Kiev. They also condemn the US intervention in Ukraine.

Protesters also call to stop with supporting of armed groups in the Middle East and to close the infamous prisons in Cuba and Iraq!
