A recent information leak published by the US paper Washington Post says that the American Central Intelligence Agency was an accomplice in the assassination of Hezbollah Commander Imad Mughniyeh in February, 2008.

A former official in the Central Intelligence declared that CIA spotters followed Imad Mughniyeh in the Syrian capital after he had left a restaurant. The bomb that killed him was detonated remotely by Israeli Mossad based on information given by the CIA.

This wasn’t the first assassination that Israel had carried out against those who oppose it. Israel has a long track record of the assassination policy against Palestinians, Lebanese, Syrians and others.

Experts are now raising question on why this information was leaked at the current time, as this will only increase tensions in the region.

The United States had reportedly built 25 bombs that were tested in a facility in North Carolina to ensure that the blast radius was small and lethal to in order to limit any possible collateral damage.

The Assassination of late Hezbollah commander Imad Mughniyeh, as well as the attack that took the life of his son Jihad Mughniyeh; shows the world how far Israel will go to eliminate all who oppose it.
