Russia downs over 50 Ukrainian drones; Ukraine repels multiple Russian attacks

Russia said on Saturday that its forces had shot down 54 Ukrainian drones and intercepted multiple HIMARS rockets in the past day, while Ukraine claimed its troops had been involved in 74 battles with Russian forces over the past 24 hours. 

The Russian Ministry of Defence said that over the past day, its forces had repelled Ukrainian attacks in multiple directions and launched many attacks, destroying Ukrainian war equipment like tanks, armored vehicles, vehicles, and self-propelled artilleries. 

Russian air defense force had also downed 54 Ukrainian drones and intercepted slews of aerial guided bombs and HIMARS rockets, the ministry said. 

Meanwhile, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported late on Saturday that a total of 74 battles had taken place on the frontline over the past 24 hours. 

The Russian forces had continued air attacks in multiple directions, it said.

In the Pokrovsk region where fighting had been the most intensive, 29 Russian attacks were repelled with combats still going on in many parts of the region, it added.
