National mourning in Iran

Iran is observing a national day of mourning after Wednesday's deadly terror attack targeting civilians in the southern city of Kerman. A twin blasts killed 84 Iranians and injured over 200 others at a ceremony marking the fourth assassination anniversary of Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani. According to the interior minister, the two explosions occurred minutes apart at two different locations crowded with people. Ahmad Vahidi said the bombs contained shrapnel that caused the extreme amount of casualties.

Kerman terror attack

Hours after the terror attack in the city of Kerman, southern Iran, the Leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution vowed a strong response to both perpetrators and masterminds of the terror bombings. In a message, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said the callous criminals could not tolerate the people's love and enthusiasm for visiting the resting place of their great commander, Martyr Soleimani. President Ebrahim Raeisi has also vowed that the perpetrators will pay a heavy price for this horrible crime.

US-Israeli genocide in Gaza

The US-managed Israeli genocide in Gaza continues unabated, with the regime’s warplanes and artillery keep pounding the blockaded territory. At least 40 Palestinians, including nine children, have been killed in the latest airstrikes on houses and the vicinity of hospitals in Khan Yunis. The regime’s overnight bombardment hit areas near the town of al-Mawasi where displaced Gazans had taken shelter. The city of Deir el-Balah was shelled again, leaving 10 Palestinians dead and several injured. In Rafah, at least three civilians were killed. Dozens of people were also killed after airstrikes targeted homes in central Gaza. The air raids hit the vicinity of a junior school in the al-Bureij refugee camp, wounding dozens of displaced people. A girls’ High School and a clinic in the al-Maqhazi refugee camp were also bombed. More than 22-thousand-and-three-hundred Palestinians have been killed in Israel’s genocidal attacks in Gaza so far.
