Bangladesh police clash with opposition protesters in Dhaka

At least one police officer died and dozens of protesters were injured as heavy clashes erupted during an anti-government rally in the streets of Dhaka on Saturday, local media reported.

Tens of thousands of opposition supporters filled the streets of Bangladesh’s capital, chanting slogans against the government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, despite tightening of the security and dozens of opposition party activists arrested in the last few days.
