Russia-Ukraine war

Ukraine has reportedly hit a Russian tanker with a naval drone in the Kerch Strait in the Black Sea. A source in Ukraine's security service has confirmed the attack, saying the vessel was transporting fuel for Russian troops. The source called it another successful special operation by the country's security service jointly with the Navy. Images released also purportedly show a naval drone hitting the tanker near a strategic bridge linking Russia to the  Crimean peninsula. That’s a day after Kiev hit one of the warships in Russia’s Black Sea naval base near the port of Novorossiysk. The port is a major hub for Russian exports and the attack prompted officials to temporarily halt all ship movement. Moscow says however that it destroyed all Ukrainian drones.

'No more aid to Ukraine'

A new poll shows the majority of Americans are opposed to more US military aid for Ukraine in its war with Russia. According to the CNN poll, overall, 55 percent of those surveyed said they are against Congress authorizing additional funding to support Kiev, whereas, 45 percent said lawmakers should allocate such funds for other uses. As for the types of assistance that Washington could provide to Ukraine, the poll showed there is broader support for help with intelligence gathering and military training than for providing weapons. And there is very slim backing for US military forces to participate in combat operations. Well over half of the respondents also expressed concern that the war between Russia and Ukraine could jeopardize US national security.
