- Archaeologists have discovered a 500-year-old Aztec altar with 164 starfishes in the Templo Mayor Archaeological site in Mexico City. The altar is considered Mexico’s largest starfish offering discovered to date. Archaeologists believe it was built around the year 1,500.
- Retired racehorses could be retrained for a new role as so-called ‘therapy horses’. According to a study led by the University of Bristol, veterans and disabled children as well as those struggling with mental health issues can benefit from the therapy horses.
- A killer whale beached on a Mexican shore has been rescued by locals and environmentalists. Volunteers with a group called Youth allied to the Environment, helped carry the orca out of the sea.
