La Liga: Real Betis 2-3 Real Madrid

Real Madrid have earned their 1st victory of the season, after edging past Real Betis 3-2 away from home.

The defending champions got on the score-sheet, when Uruguayan midfielder Federico Valverde tapped the ball home from close range, 15 minute into the match.

But the hosts leveled the core in the 35th minute, when Aissa Mandi found the net with a neat header.

Two minutes later, Betis got the upper hand when William Carvalho scored with a precise shot from close range.

However, the advantage was short-lived, as Emerson scored an own goal 3 minutes after the break, and gifted Los Blancos a great chance of a comeback.

Finally, with 7 minutes remaining, the turn-around was complete as Real captain Serkhio Ramos scored from the spot, after a long VAR check for handball, 3-2 the final score.
