NBA: Celtics top Grizzlies 122-107

To the NBA, the Boston Celtics have extended their winning streak to 4 games with a 122-107 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies.

Leading 24 to 17 after a quarter of play, Boston continued their offensive tactics to make it a 16-point advantage by the intermission. The Grizzlies regrouped after the break, cutting the deficit to 83-73 by the end of the 3rd, but failed to turn it around in the final, suffering their 6th defeat in 7 seeding games.

The setback means the Grizzlies lost their secured grip on the 8th seed in the Western Conference. They dropped to a 3-way tie for 8th, along with the Portland Trail Blazers and the Phoenix Suns with one game remaining.

Meanwhile, the Phoenix Suns overpowered the Philadelphia 76ers 130 to 117 for their 7th win in a row. Devin Booker had 35 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists for the Suns, while Alec Burks chipped in 23 for the short-handed 6ers, who played without all 5 starters from the opening night.

In the other games on Tuesday, the Mavs lost to the Blazers, the Bucks defeated the Wizards and the Kings posted a 112 to 106 win over the Pelicans.
