RB Leipzig have moved up to 3rd in the German Bundesliga, after routing struggling Mainz 5-0 away from home.

The visitors got on the scoresheet just 11 minutes into the match, with Timo Werner tapping the ball home from close range.

Yussuf Poulsen then headed into the 6-yard box to double the lead for Leipzig in the 23rd minute.

That was followed by a finish from Austrian Midfielder Marcel Sabitzer, who made it 3-0 for the away team.

Leipzig kept the pressure on as Werner scored his 2nd, just 3 minutes after the break.

Werner then netted his hat-trick in the 75th minute to become the club’s all-time leading goal-scorer and taking Leipzig back into the UEFA Champions League places.
