Borussia Dortmund have temporarily moved up to third place in the Bundesliga after thrashing FC Koln 5-1 at Signal Iduna Park.

Raphael Guerreiro put Dortmund in front after just 55 seconds with captain Marco Reus adding a second before the half-hour mark following VAR review. Jadon Sancho made it 3-nil after the break with a brilliant shot from inside the box.

FC Koln found some hope when Mark Uth fired a superb volley into the net from a tight angle but Erling Haland restored the 3-goal advantage in 77th minute on a rebound and got his brace after rounding the keeper and turning the ball in, from a narrow angle for his 5th goal in 2 appearances.

Dortmund are on 36 points, 4 behind league leaders RB Leipzig who are to visit Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.
