Its prestigious headquaters sees the operational side of the sport planned and executed, as well implement laws, rules and organises the worlds largest sporting events.
However, there is an ugle side to the beautiful game. Corruption. FIFA has recently transistioned through one of the toughest periods of its existence, in the scandals of money laundering, bribes and venue fixing under the leadership of the now discgraced Sepp Blatter, a man who has been involved with FIFA for over 40 years. The corruption scandal saw 100s of millions of dollars flowing into accounts, with much of the money not being autorised to do so.
