This edition of the program is about the dark side of the Football industry. The corruption pervasive in FIFA, the discriminatory policies against women’s football and some African nations and so on are discussed.

Football, the beautiful game, and without doubt, the world’s most practiced and popular sport, both on, and off the field. For over a century, football has brought people together, provided ever lasting memories, given people joy, caused moments of tense suspense, and even brought nations together. Zurich Switzerland, is home to the world governing body of football, FIFA. It’s prestigious headquaters sees the operational side of the sport planned and executed, as well implement laws, rules and organises the world’s largest sporting events.

However, there is an ugle side to the beautiful game. Corruption. FIFA has recently transistioned through one of the toughest periods of its existence, in the scandals of money laundering, bribes and venue fixing under the leadership of the now discgraced Sepp Blatter, a man who has been involved with FIFA for over 40 years. The corruption scandal saw 100’s of millions of dollars flowing into accounts, with much of the money not being autorised to do so.
