Iran international Alireza Jahanbakhsh has started the new year in stunning style, to earn Brighton an unlikely point against Chelsea, in a 1-all draw at the Amex Stadium.

It was Frank Lampard's men who took an early lead in the 1st half, when captain Cesar Azpilicueta blasted home on a rebound in the 10th minute.

Brighton rallied in the 2nd half in search of an equalizer, and in the 80th minute, they almost found it through Aaron Connolly, only to be denied by a great save by the Chelsea keeper.

However, 4 minutes later, Arrizabalaga was left helpless by Jahanbakhsh, as Brighton’s 17-million pound record signing, launched himself into the air, and produced a jaw-dropping bicycle-kick. It was the Iranian’s 2nd goal for Brighton, following his last weekend’s opener against Bournemouth. The goal salvaged a point for the Seagulls, and was hugely celebrated by the crowd at the Amex Stadium, who witnessed, arguably, one of the club’s best goals ever scored.
