UCL: Liverpool thrash Porto 6-1 on AGG.

Liverpool

Liverpool have set up a UEFA champions league semi-finals clash with Barcelona following a 4-1 win over FC Porto of Portugal in the 2nd leg of the quarterfinals.

The Merseyside reds found the net against the run of play after Mo Salah’s inch-perfect pass reached Sadio Mane at the far post and he poked it home from close range. The goal was checked by VAR, and eventually was accepted. Salah made it 2-nil as he coolly dispatched the ball past Iker Casillas in the 65th minute.

Porto pulled one back in the 69th minute, when Eder Militao blasted an unstoppable header past the keeper from corner kick. The match was effectively over in the 77th minute, when Firmino got on the end of a wonderful cross by Jordan Henderson before nutmegging Casillas with a great header.

Virgil van Dijk added the icing on the cake with a header in the 84th minute to seal the 6-1 win on aggregate for Jurgen Klopp’s men.
