Spain: Antifa, Vox activists clash during protest in Barcelona
Antifa protesters clashed with far-right activists during a protest in the L'Hospitalet de Llobregat municipality of Barcelona on Sunday.
Up to 150 Antifa activists participated in the protest against the far-right nationalist Vox party in front of the local football field on which Vox activists were holding an event.
One of the gates appeared to be open and some Antifa activists clashed with Vox members after entering the field. The riot police had to take action to prevent disorder and violence between the two groups.
The Vox party is against regional autonomy in Spain and sued both the Parliament of Catalonia and several individual pro-independence politicians following the Catalan independence declaration.
