The United States has said that it is going to withdraw from the decades-old Intermediate-range Nuclear Forces Treaty.

The agreement was signed by President Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev, the last Soviet leader, in 1987. Washington accuses Moscow of violating the agreement. Trump’s decision has sparked fears of a new global nuclear arms race. The news has been widely discussed by international media.
