North Korean leader Kim Jong Un welcomed South Korean President Moon Jae-in to the North Korean capital Pyongyang for a three-day summit Tuesday. Their agenda is focusing on deepening their own cooperation and exchanges in addition to addressing the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula with Seoul seeking to recharge talks between Pyongyang and Washington. South Koreans are hopeful the diplomatic efforts can end decades of tension.
