Fountain of lava bursts forth from Kilauea's fissure 8

Fissure 8 of Kilauea volcano on Hawaii's Big Island spewed hot currents of lava.

Technically referred to as a "curtain of fire," the hot lava reached heights of 61 meters.

The Kilauea volcano erupted on May 3 and there is no indication yet as to when the explosive eruptions might end.
