Israel massacring Palestinians with US green light: Activist

An activist believes the United States has given Israel a “green light” to continue the “massacre” of Palestinians.

“So I think far from the international community being silent, there is a very loud message being sent to Tel Aviv that they can massacre Palestinians and the Americans and the British will continue to support them. So that green light is very important,” Mick Napier, member of the Scottish Palestine Solidarity Campaign told Press TV in an interview on Sunday.

Tensions have been running high along the Gaza fence since March 30, which marked the start of a series of protests, dubbed “The Great March of Return,” demanding the right to return for those driven out of their homeland.

The Gaza clashes reached their peak on May 14, the eve of the 70th anniversary of the Nakba Day (the Day of Catastrophe), which coincided this year with the US embassy relocation from Tel Aviv to occupied Jerusalem al-Quds.

More than 110 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli fire in the Gaza Strip since the protests broke out.

The Israeli military frequently bombs the Gaza Strip, with civilians being the main target of such attacks.
