Korea deal at stake

The leaders of North and South Korea held a remarkable summit in late April. After the historic meeting, South Korean President Moon Jae-in and North Korean leader, Kim Jong-un committed themselves to the complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula. But after weeks of improving relations, things have now taken a sudden step backwards. Pyongyang has called off a planned high-level meeting with Seoul following air drills by the US and South Korea.

Unconditional US support

Israel’s atrocities against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank have horrified the entire world. Israeli forces killed dozens of Palestinians this week as they were peacefully protesting against America's relocation of its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem al-Quds. But Israel is not getting even a slap on the wrist for its deadly use of force against Palestinian civilians because of full US diplomatic support for anything the regime does.
