US takes credit for South Korean diplomacy as historic summits approach

The United States has taken credit for bringing North Korea to the negotiating table, despite the fact that the recent agreements were brokered by South Korean diplomats. China and Russia support South Korea’s peace initiatives, but North Korea has yet to publicly comment on the possibility of a Pyongyang-Washington summit.
