Turkish-American ties are at a low ebb. Ankara keeps accusing Washington of supporting Kurdish militants in northern Syria amid a Turkish operation in that region. The Turkish president has renewed the claim as he waits for the US secretary of state to arrive in Ankara on Thursday.
